| CNBC Arabiya Offers Mobile TV Streaming Service |

CNBC Arabiya will offer mobile TV streaming services to customers in Jordan enabling them to receive real-time business news on their mobile phones in partnership with Javna Mobile. Under a deal signed by CNBC Arabiya's Director Sales Omer Ghani and Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour, the region's leading business TV station will deliver streaming video using Javna's integrated technology solution.
Ghani said, "We are delighted to be launching this service in Jordan, one of the region's leaders in telecommunications, to keep our viewers informed while on the move. The service underlines CNBC Arabiya's vision to harness state-of-the-art technologies to continually meet the demanding information needs of our audiences and reinforces our commitment to them as their primary partner for business information." Subscribers will be able to receive CNBC Arabiya on their compatible mobile phones and stay abreast of market action and relevant business news when they are away from their TV sets.
For his part, Mansour said it was a pleasure that CNBC Arabiya selected Javna's package of solutions and specialized services, which, he said, have proved highly efficient while serving major TV channels in the Arab World.
Mansour said, "Javna's Mobile TV Streaming solutions boast high-quality performance and comprehensiveness in the services extended to our customers, starting with receiving TV signals via satellites to re-streaming them through our specialized infrastructure into their final form as 3GPP to be compatible with the smart mobile phones."
Mansour pointed out that this is the first step towards achieving full integration between multimedia and mobile and wireless communications services, stressing Javna's keenness on contributing technically to defining the features of the wireless communications sector future and offering mobile phone users and wireless services companies the best services that support EDGE/GPRS mobile data network as well as 3G services.
The Javna-CNBC Arabiya agreement stipulates that the former has the rights to offer this service to wireless providers in the Jordanian market.
The new technology emerged for the first time a year ago in several technologically advanced countries.
Experts forecast that Mobile TV streaming would boost 3G mobile phones development and enhance their appeal in the coming few years, especially for relevant content like business news and during times of international sports tournaments such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
